Jacob O. Ajayi, President and Chief Executive Officer Jacob holds an MBA degree from Baylor University, Waco and a B.S(Accounting) degree of the University of Ife. Jacob has been with the company since July 1, 2002. Jacob, a chartered accountant has more than 15 years of management experience in several industries including oil and gas as capital budget and investment analyst. Prior to coming to Africa Mutual Funds, Jacob was General Manager of a private holding company in Grapevine, Texas. Jacob has also worked extensively in management consulting with such firms as Arthur Andersen in Victoria Island and The May Group in Chicago. Kwesi Hagan, Vice President, Investments Kwesi, a graduate of International Management from Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business started his career in retail management. Kwesi started his investment career at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter(now Morgan Stanley) in Houston. Kwesi joined the company on August 1, 2002. Kwesi holds a B.S degree in Psychology from the University of Ghana, Legon. Bashir Ashimi, Vice-President and Secretary of the Board(resigned) Bashir was until August 31, 2004, Vice President and Secretary of the Board of Africa Mutual Funds Corporation. He is now in The Presidency, working as the State Coordinator, National Poverty Eradication Program(NAPEP), Oyo State, Federal Republic of Nigeria. Julius Odelana, Group Treasurer Julius holds a B.S degree in Finance from the University of Benin, Nigeria. A Chartered Banker, Julius has more than 14 years of management experience under his belt in the Banking Industry. Prior to joining Africa Mutual Funds Corporation in November 2003, Julius was a manager with Eko International Bank, PLC(now EIB PLC) in Victoria Island and Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria. Emmanuel Akinwumi, Vice President and Portfolio Manager Emmanuel, a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, holds a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Lagos. Emmanuel joined Africa Mutual Funds Corporation in July 2002. Prior to his joining Africa Mutual Funds, Emmanuel was a mutual funds advisor in Toronto and area in Canada. Emmanuel has over 12 years of management experience and was at one time the Chief Financial Officer of a Tanzania-based manufacturing conglomerate - a secondment from his position as Financial Controller of Continental Holdings, London in the United Kingdom. Special Funds Manager's duties include overseeing development of special funds needed by our clients. He is also in charge of creating alternative funds which are outside of the original portfolio of Africa Mutual Funds Corporation. This position is currently vacant. The CEO is currently evaluating candidates to fill this important position.
